The Incompetence of the Malfunctioning Robot and his Sidekick
By Germanico Vaca
The incompetence of Elon Musk and Donald Trump is appalling. I do not
care if you are a Trump follower, a Democrat, or a peach on a tree. I need you
to put aside your shining armor of cowardness and analyze if what I am saying
is not real. I am laying the facts and I am asking you to save this nation:
- Trump and Musk’s
Lack of Economic Plan: This is a significant concern.
If key figures like Trump and Musk, who hold considerable influence in the
destruction of democracy, aren't putting forward a comprehensive economic
plan, it leaves the country with a void. Surely you would agree “Tariffs”
cannot possibly be the only solution they can offer; their focus seems
scattered—firing people rather than creating employment. The lack of an
actionable plan to deal with economic issues, especially with looming
budget deadlines and a debt ceiling, creates a sense of uncertainty and
inaction.
- Firing People
Instead of Job Creation: Everything Trump and Musk do or
say are contradictions. Instead of being job creators, figures like Musk
and Trump are contributing to widespread unemployment by slashing jobs at
critical government institutions. These actions not only harm individuals
directly affected but also undermine the long-term stability of essential
services. The idea that a president's role should be to create
opportunities and strengthen industries makes the current actions seem
even more out of place. After all a president is supposed to be for every
single American.
- Lack of Focus
on Economic Models and Policies: It's disheartening that,
despite their claims of wanting to "fix" the economy, figures
like Musk and Thiel aren't pushing for serious, sustainable economic
scenarios. Protectionist policies like tariffs may offer short-term relief
but could hurt long-term economic prospects. Yet, every single move and
the long list of Executive orders pulled out of Project 2025 do nothing
for the US economy. They will not solve the problems of a shrinking dollar
or the looming threats from BRICS. Without real plans to innovate and test
policies that can address these global shifts, the U.S. risks falling into
deeper economic isolation.
- Destruction of
Infrastructure Projects: The abandonment or halt of
infrastructure projects, especially ones that have already been funded and
are crucial for long-term development, is a major issue. Infrastructure is
the backbone of a functioning economy, and halting projects—especially
when they are in progress—creates long-term damage that’s hard to recover
from. Firing people regardless of their position is utterly insane and
violates the protections and rules of the federal government, and the
process of hiring replacements after firing workers adds unnecessary
delays that could harm the nation’s economic health for years to come.
- Economic
Instability and Social Division: The instability of the Trump
administration is leading to broader social issues, such as divisions
among various communities, which is a real concern. Economic instability
breeds frustration, depression, and crime and if public policies continue
to marginalize certain groups, it can create the perfect storm for larger
social unrest. By June this year, we could find ourselves in a civil war. Marginalized
groups—such as Native Americans, Black people, Hispanics, and others—are
being further oppressed only adds to this divide, which can only lead to
more profound societal fractures, potentially leading to more serious
conflict.
These points highlight just how interconnected social stability and
economic health are. Without careful planning and respect for the diverse
communities that make up the U.S., both the economy and society risk falling
into disarray. The absence of real solutions, coupled with destructive
policies, could make things much worse.
